Forest & Soil Stratification Analysis

An in-depth understanding of a property’s unique traits is essential to view its potential. Stratification is the process by which we group together areas of a habitat that display similar characteristics. Green Assets performs forest and soil stratification analyses to develop an accurate picture of the property and provide landowners with detailed maps of landholdings.

As a benefit to landowners and in order to improve precision, Green Assets can travel to a property for data collection.  This enables us to stratify the property based on vegetation and/or soil type and often requires updates to reflect ever-changing conditions and land uses. This information is essential to landowners in several ways. It is a valuable tool in traditional forest management practices such as growth and yield modeling and is particularly useful in the development of forest carbon offset projects. In addition, soil stratification is necessary in agricultural and forest planting applications.
