Green Assets is currently in search of highly motivated individual to join our team in our Wilmington, NC office as a Project Manager. Founded in 2010, Green Assets is a leading forest carbon offset development firm. Green Assets provides informed, turn-key project development services to clientele, allowing for profitable conservation activities that help to maintain natural habitats and ecosystems. The Project Manager reports to the Director of Implementation. The Project Manager’s work will focus on establishing, maintaining, and implementing a plan for full development of all aspects of each forest carbon project. This position will also work closely with the Director of Implementation to implement new business and operational processes that will fully optimize and automate operations to help Green Assets achieve our highest potential.

Project Manager’s Responsibilities:

  • Own all aspects of the new project implementation process- from establishing and managing project specific needs and creating long- and short-term plans for full execution. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
    •  Setting and managing project timelines, deadlines, and associate tasks due date sand reporting back to the team on progress.
    •  Managing client communication (i.e. communication tracking and quarterly reporting).
    • Assist in initial development and implementation of carbon projects through due diligence and assimilation of supporting documents.
  • Enhance our project management processes for implementations including project plans,milestones/ deliverables, communication standards and more;
  • Work side-by-side with the Verification and Technical teams to assist in deliverables such asreview of carbon offset project protocols, data interpretation and analysis, and contribution ofwritten content into meaningful conclusions;
  • Aid in the facilitation and implementation of new business operations;
  • Serve as a Liaison with 3rd party service providers, building relationships and resolving issues and challenges that arise during the implementation process.
  • Provide support on Geographic Information System (GIS) and Spatial Analyses;
  • Supports other team members with projects, workflow process improvements, and other duties asassigned;
  • Contributes to company’s organization goals through content development, office logisticalsupport, etc.;
  • Other duties as assigned such as communications support, organizational strategy input,presentation support and other general tasks
  • Supports General Company Tasks, including, but not limited to:
    • Maintains compliance with company policies (timekeeping, expense reporting, etc.);
    • Maintains effective communications with clients and colleagues;
    • Conduct operations with a high level of professionalism;

Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Forest Resources Management, Forestry, or associated field;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills;
  • Deadline and detail-oriented;
  • Detailed oriented, organized, and thorough in completing work tasks;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful;
  • Desire and ability to rapidly develop expertise in forest carbon offset project protocols such as theClimate Action Reserve, American Carbon Registry (ACR), and California Air Resource Board (ARB);
  • Effective document preparation, presentation, and communication skills are required;
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is required;
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. (up to 25% of time).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with database management and project management systems/software;
  • Demonstrated experience using GIS software and aerial imagery for forest stratification and plotassessments;
  • Sense of humor.
