Hollywood actor joins Carbon Board

One of the nation’s leading Carbon Registries announced the formation of an Honorary Board to be comprised of several climate activists who have maintained their support for improving our environmental impact through the years.

Included in the inaugural board are a number of distinguished professionals including former politicians, climate leaders and even one Hollywood actor.

Ed Begley Jr., who has appeared in television and movie rolls including The Simpsons, 7th Heaven, The West Wing, Boston Legal, and Best in Show, was invited to join the inaugural board since he has been serving as a role model for sustainability and conservation for several years. He has long been a proponent of electric vehicles and even designed his house to require only a few hundred dollars of electricity per year.

Other members of the Carbon board include former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell, former California Governor Fred Davis and California State Senator Fran Pavley.

Senator Pavley was instrumental in designing and implementing California’s ambitious climate law AB32 which seeks to reduce state emissions back to 1990 levels by 2020.

The Honorary Board will continue to advocate for increased efforts to address climate change.
